Zanskar Tour

8 Days

Zanskar is a place away from civilization, it is more remote, untouched and mostly unexplored. Zanskar is a valley in Ladakh which is recently gaining popularity after the new route from Sinkula pass is opened from Himachal Pradesh. Zanskar is a magical place to be in with Glaciers running along the road and glacial lakes called as ‘La-Tso’ and ‘Ta-Tso’ near one of the glaciers which falls at Pensila Pass known as the ‘Drang – Drung’ glacier which is the main source of Zanskar river and the other glacier is called as the ‘Nun – Kun’ glacier at the feet of ‘Nun – Kun’ mountain. Zanskar has a lot of old Monasteries with Mummies in it, Zanskar is filled with mystical Monasteries and palaces like the Phugtal Monastery which is 2,500 years old and it’s built on a rock face cave, there’s another monastery called Karsha monastery which houses a mummy inside it which is believed to be still living and is at Samadhi state. Zanskar has one of the most challenging terrains in the Himalayas with pure off-roads which is very challenging and rewarding. Zanskar is no less than a dreamland or a fairy tale.
